Bespoke, Artisan Wood-Fired Ovens
In our family workshop at 'The Rookery' in leafy Lytham, Lancashire, we specialise in beautifully bespoke, handcrafted wood-fired ovens, and outdoor kitchens. Every oven is individually handmade with the utmost of care, expressly to order. We don't stock any off-the-shelf, as each is crafted individually, with immense care and pride, to each client's personal specifications.
Our mobile ovens are specially designed with the purpose of limiting weight, yet without the need to sacrifice the performance, style or the oven's daily travelling endurance.

Our fully assembled ovens, with either a traditionally classic, or stunning showcase style finish, are supplied with a complete set of professional tools and accessories, with our compliments, to have you up and running, as soon as you are ready.

No matter the style, or type of wood-fired oven you are looking for, we are certainly ready, willing and able to create the perfectly exclusive oven, just for you!

HANDCRAFTED
The Rookery wood-fired ovens are individually handmade, using traditional techniques, yet always utilising the latest commercial grade refractory materials available. They also feature our considerably superior, incredibly strong, proprietory mono-block internal dome, cast with vibrated refractory cement which will withstand temperatures of over 1400ºC (2,550ºF). We also hand-cut beautiful herringbone firebrick cooking surfaces, and landings, in all The Rookery ovens.

FINISHES
You may like to choose a traditional rendered finish in any colour you desire, a clean and sharp contemporary stainless steel surround, a stunning solid copper surround or copper band, or a full ceramic or glass mosaic tiled finish to impress your friends or clientele. You may also choose to add a little sign writing, with your family name, brand, or company logo, or even incorporate beautiful hand painted artwork.
The choice is always yours!

COOKING SURFACE SIZES
Our internal cooking surfaces range from 650mm, up to 1100mm for all models and styles. The height of the cooking surface can also be made to measure if required. The finished external size depends slightly on the oven's purpose, however as a rule of thumb, add 400mm to the internal floor size.
Other options for consideration are either a countertop installation or a free standing oven on a bespoke fabricated stand. Lighter weight options are also available for both oven and stand, for installation in commercial catering vehicles, where weight is a potential concern.

BESPOKE FABRICATED STANDS
Our bespoke fabricated stands, in either stainless steel or mild steel, if you would prefer a coloured stand, are also fabricated by hand, to the very highest professional standards. They include a slim, high shelf, for your oven tools or for warming serving plates, and also a generous low shelf log store to maintain your wood-fired oven fire day after day. Industrial strength, lockable castors are used as standard for manoeuvrability, yet you may choose not to have castors if you would perhaps like to bolt your oven in place for a mobile catering application.
INCREDIBLE INSULATION
A minimum of 100mm-150mm, 128kg HD ceramic fibre insulation is used over the internal dome, and 50-75mm of calcium silicate underfloor insulation is used under the floors of all our ovens, fully encapsulating the dome and cooking surface. Our encapsulated insulation method ensures an almost cool-to-touch exterior, yet always provides extremely long lasting heat retention for fast next day re-heating or roasting and baking - without the need to refire your oven! The same insulation which keeps the heat inside also protects your oven from the cold and frost, so your oven can remain outside, without cover, all year round.
SUPER FLUES
A double-lined stainless steel chimney flue and rain cap are again used on all ovens, which are easily extendable for indoor, mobile, or undercover through-the-roof installations. Rarely presented on other wood-fired ovens you may notice, is our 'over the dome' venting for the flue, which is employed for maximum heat efficiency, and also enables our truly beautiful, traditional 'Naples style' central chimney appearance.

BUILT TO LAST
Our robust monoblock inner domes provide far superior strength and longevity compared to the standard jointed construction method often used in wood-fired ovens. Be assured you will not find any superior quality, personal service, or impartial advice anywhere else in the UK.
COMPLIMENTARY PROFESSIONAL OVEN TOOL SET
We also supply an entire complementary set of all the tools you may need to get up and running right away, including a Stainless Steel Pizza Peel, a Wooden Pizza Peel, a Pizza Spinner for turning your pizzas, a Stainless Steel & Aluminium Log Hook for positioning your hardwood logs, a Stainless Steel & Brass Bristle Brush for sweeping the cooking surface and an Infrared Digital Laser Thermometer for checking temperatures inside your oven. The tool set can also be made bespoke and personalised on the handles with your name or logo laser engraved.

DELIVERY
Free, personal delivery, within a 60 mile radius of our FY8 postcode. A small charge may be required for further afield, or delivery can be arranged via courier. For all but the smaller 650mm cooking surface ovens, a forklift or telehandler will be required to unload at the destination. Overseas shipping is not normally a problem.
Due to being entirely bespoke and made to order, delivery can occasionally take up to 6 weeks or longer from the time of your order to receiving your Rookery oven.

Please also feel free to get in touch for advice in choosing the right oven for you, regardless of whether you are looking to purchase your wood-fired oven from The Rookery or not!

We are always happy to help!
